John grew up in Farmington Hills, MI and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1981 with a degree in Engineering. In 1987 John left his position as an engineer with GM to pursue his true passion of investing which he had been interested in since he was 11 years old. John joined Baird in 2009 after 21 years in the industry, citing the employee owned, conservative nature and ability to have more freedom to do what’s right for the client as his motivating factors.
John has expertise in technical analysis and follows the market cycles very closely which has allowed him to effectively manage portfolios and the associated market risks throughout his career; building long-term relationships with his clients along the way.
John resides in Commerce, Michigan with his wife, Roxanne. In his free time he enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and spending time with his family. John and his wife Roxanne, who owns her own travel agency, travel frequently enjoying many of their outdoor hobbies together including: biking, hiking, kayaking, and white water rafting.
